The cookies this site sets
We use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used — which pages are read, how visitors arrive, and where they leave. It is the only tool on the site that sets a cookie. We do not run advertising or retargeting pixels, we have advertising signals switched off, and we do not sell what it collects.
Google Analytics sets these cookies:
- _ga — distinguishes one visitor from another. Expires after two years.
- _ga_<id> — keeps track of the current visit. Expires after two years.
What is measured is how the site is used, not who you are. We do not send your name, email address or anything you type into a form to Google Analytics.
Refusing or removing them
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and the site works normally without them. Google also publishes a browser add-on that opts you out of Google Analytics across every site that uses it.
What is not a cookie
Our hosting provider records standard technical information each time a page is served, such as IP address, browser type and the page requested. That comes from the request itself rather than from a cookie, and it is described in our Privacy Policy.
We load a small number of font and asset files needed to display the site. These are fetched to render the page and are not used to identify or track you.
Links to other sites
If you follow a link away from this site, the site you arrive at may set its own cookies. We do not control those and their own policies apply.
